FORGED

The forged connections emanate from extracted bar and meet the same specifications as the schemed pieces. For the forged process, we count with 80-300 ton presses. In order to forge 20-750 gram pieces with diameters of 3/8” to 1-½”, we use an open and closed forging process which ensures that the pieces are free of micro porosities. This allows our connections to be used in facilities designed for water or gas.

The connections are tested for air tightness.

Pneumatic pressure according to the NMX-W-124-SCFI norm;

Hydrostatic pressure, according to the NMX-W-123-SCFI norm;

Torsion test resistance: NMX-W-101/2-2003;

Mercury nitrate test: ASTM B 154-87.

The injected brass connections are tested for air tightness using 100% pneumatic pressure. In order to execute the injection process, we count with 80 and 160-ton cold chamber machinery in which pieces from 15-300 grams with diameters from 3/8” to 4” can be injected. At the same time, we count on the drain by gravity process in order to manufacture pieces with complicated geometries and low volumes.

The quality system plant is based on ISO-9001, and at the present time we are executing the ISO-9001:2008 transition.

The length of the bar is normally 360 cm, and it is turned in approximate 500 kg bundles.
